Updated 5/17/2020:

In difficult times like this, it’s inspiring to see how people come together to help each other. There are many in need of assistance during this COVID-19 outbreak and the geek community is stepping up to make a difference.

Geek fashion companies are helping in a number of ways, from directing an amount of product proceeds to purchase masks for hospitals to turning their production efforts to creating masks. Many of these companies are small and hurting because of this pandemic, but it hasn’t stopped them from trying to help others and in these efforts, they need the support of the community to reach the most people.

While you continue to support your favorite small businesses, also take a look at these opportunities to help geek fashion companies in their efforts to make an impact. We’ll update this list as we become aware of more company initiatives.

Hero Within

When you purchase one of Hero Within’s Stand Together shirts, part of the proceeds will go toward buying medical face masks for hospitals around the country. You can also donate directly to their face mask efforts here.

At Volante Design, for each of these fabric face masks purchased the company will donate one to an individual or organization in need.

Princess Awesome & Boy Wonder

Princess Awesome and Boy Wonder are helping their factory create masks for medical facilities and pay factory workers to work from home with a fundraiser. For every $8 donated here, a mask will be created.
